Úbeda.
Úbeda is a Spanish city and municipiality in the province of Jaén, capital of the la Loma the Úbeda region, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. The city along with the nearby Baeza, was declared a World Cultural Heritaje Site by Unesco on July 3, 2003, due to the quality and good preservation of its unique urban enviroment. Called ¨ the city of the hills¨ it constitutes an important attraction center, it has a regional hospital, educational centers and university schools ( UNED and SAFA), tax and social security delegations, courts, zona captainey, Teacher Center ( CEP), 2 etc..., resulting in one of the highest centrality indexes in all of Andalusia. According to the La Caixa yearbook, it is the capital of one of the economic provinces of Spain, with an are of influence of more than 200,000 inhabitants who regularly go shopping in it.3. Its weath today corresponds to its acient splendor. Úbeda lives mainly from the tertiary sector, commerce and administration, which occupy 49% of the active population. But also the weight of agriculture occupies more than 50% of the population , being the nerve center of the olive grove and oil production being one of the largest producers and packers of olive oil in the province of Jaén, a cornerstone of its entire economy. In fact, the La Loma region has been the world´s largest producer with 15% of all word oil production. Other complementary activities are induntry, livestock and an incipient.
